Dr. Caroline Schlaeppi earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Florida, and then returned to NC State for a residency in small animal surgery.

Dr. Schlaeppi is passionate about empowering pet owners through education regarding surgical treatment options and providing high-quality medical care. Special interests include complex soft tissue procedures, orthopedic surgery, and wound management. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach, reading a good book, and staying active through running. She has a senior dog named Rocky Road and a cat named Fish.
